Introduction of ferro silicon 75

Ferro Silicon 75 is a kind of ferroalloy that is composed of Ferro and silicon. Ferro Silicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace. Because silicon and oxygen are easily compound into SiO2, ferrosilicon is often used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking.

Uses of ferro silicon 75:

(1) Ferro silicon 75 is an indispensable deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry. In steelmaking, ferro silicon 75 is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation.

(2)Ferro silicon 75 used as an inoculant and spheroidizing agent in the cast iron industry. In the production of nodular cast iron, 75 ferro silicon is an important inoculant (helping to precipitate graphite) and nodulizer.

(3)Ferro silicon 75 used as a reducing agent in the production of ferroalloys. Not only the chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen is great, but the carbon content of high-silicon ferro silicon 75 is very low. Therefore, high-silicon ferrosilicon (or silicon alloy) is a commonly used reducing agent in the production of low-carbon iron alloys in the ferroalloy industry.

(4) 75 ferrosilicon is often used in the high-temperature smelting process of magnesium metal in the Pidgeon method of magnesium smelting. The magnesium in CaO.MgO is replaced, and each ton of metal magnesium will consume about 1.2 tons of ferrosilicon. The production of magnesium metal plays a big role.
